Adding headings to data

agileBase’s facility to group data under headings has had a bit of an overhaul and improvement. You can now group your data whilst retaining the ability to sort and filter as per any normal view.

To turn on grouping, go to the manage tab of a view, click ‘advanced options’ and select ‘style = headings and rows’.

The view will then use the first column as a heading. A new heading will appear every time the contents of that column changes. Here’s an example.

You can also include more than one column in the heading if you like. This feature is still being tweaked, but for now please select ‘style = headings, subheadings and rows’.
