A couple more nice improvements have been added to the Agilebase platform since our last update near the beginning of the month. These are
Calculation precision option
For decimal number calculations, you can now select the precision the calculation outputs at, e.g. 0.5 is 1 decimal place, 0.53497 is 5 decimal places.
Similarly, you can select the resolution of date calculations, e.g. to output in a chosen format like
- year only – 2023
- month and year – June 2023
- day, month, year – 23 June 2023
- day, month, year with time – 23 June 2023 10:56
etc.
Previously, decimal number and date calculations tried to figure out a good precision automatically, based on the fields referenced by the calculation and other options. However, this gives the developer more control.
Thanks to Britannia Windows, Lewis Pies and Little House Consultancy for requesting this facility.
Separators for views
This is a great new option for views with lots of columns, which can make the content much easier to digest for users.
Just like how you can add separators to a table, to organise fields into sections, you can now do a similar thing with view fields.
Please see the documentation for how to set these up
If you have any other ideas or suggestions for things you’d like to see in Agilabase, please drop us a line at enquiries@agilebase.co.uk, or next month, drop in and see us in person at the Bath Digital Festival, on the 12th July:
