A new version of Agilebase has been released today which includes two updates.
The first is a fix to a problem with chasers, the main reason for the quick release today.
People were finding that they were unable to respond to chasers – they were getting an error message when attempting to upload a file or post a response. That has now been fixed.
The second update included is the addition of a new option for text fields: ‘swap colours‘.
When a text field has two or three options (and ‘allow only given values’ is ticked), then the user interface will display the options as dropdowns. If these options are ‘yes’ and ‘no’ (or some other values – see below), then they will be coloured – green for yes and red for no.
However depending on the field name or question being asked, you may want to swap those colours.
For example, for a field ‘Passport Checked’, you might want yes to be green, but for a field ‘Dangerous Substances Detected’, yes should be red and no should be green. In that case, use this option to swap the colours.
The words that will have colours swapped by this option are:
- yes / no
- true / false
- low / high
This replaces the previous logic for swapping colours, which was done automatically based on whether the system detected words which should cause a swap. The new mechanism is more reliable.
You may want to look through your screens to find any text fields which you want colours swapped for, edit those fields and tick the ‘swap colours’ option.
Please get in touch if you’ve any questions.
